Constant Air Volume
The round mechanical pressure independent CAV terminal provides a constant amount of air. The CAV terminal regulates the amount of air supplied to the room, independently from the heat load. The air volume is set once, on a fixed value.
Constant Air Volume - induction
The pressure independent CAV-induction terminal induces plenum or room air into the primary airflow. The airflow is set to a fixed value. When a reheat coil is mounted the air supply temperature can be adjusted by switching it on or off to react at the changing heat load in the room.
Variabel Air Volume
The round pressure independent VAV terminal accurately measures and controls air volumes. Based on the heat load, the VAV terminal controls the air volume.
Variabel Air Volume - induction
The pressure independent VAV-induction terminal induces plenum and/or room air into the primary air stream, which results in an almost constant air volume to the room. The number of air changes and therefore the flushing of the room are guaranteed, also at extreme low heat loads, which results in an optimum thermal comfort in the occupied zone.
This specific feature allows the use of low primary air temperatures, minimizing the risk of temperature differences between the supply temperature and the room temperature.
Fan Coil units
The range of HC Barcol-Air fan coil units consists of both horizontal and vertical units, with and without cabinets. The units without cabinet can be delivered with mounted sound attenuator and air distribution plenum and can be used for cooling and/or heating applications.
